I’ve been a practising artist/crafter for over 20 years and have 10 years classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant. I’m based in Hexham, Northumberland.
I am a member of Network Artists North East and exhibit regularly in group shows. I have exhibited twice with the Society of Botanical Artists, both times winning the Certificate of Botanical Merit for my watercolours.
Unfortunately, due to a developing visual impairment I’m no longer able to paint these highly detailed botanical subjects so I am now concentrating on my second love of needle felting, creating ‘One of a Kind’ sculptures, masks and small decorative pieces and quirky brooches. My focus is still on the natural world, particularly British wildlife.
I also love to teach; to share the joy of creating unique pieces with the simple but time-consuming and addictive practice of needle felting.
